December 2nd is National Mutt Day, a celebratory day created in 2005 by animal welfare advocate
Colleen Paige. National Mutt Day was created for us to celebrate our mixed-breed dogs and call
attention to the mixed breeds still waiting for their forever homes.
Coastal FX wants to help raise awareness about the plight of mixed breed dogs in shelters, and to remind potential pet parents that it’s the personality and not the pedigree that truly matters. But perhaps the best reason to adopt a Mutt is you get to save the life of a worthy and wonderful dog.
Do you have a MUTT? Then we want to hear from you!
Help Coastal FX celebrate NATIONAL MUTT DAY and win a $25 Gift Certificate along with a
Stone Harbor BEACH TAG for the 2018 season. Send your MUTTs picture and your
information to and write Mutt Day in the subject line.
Tell us about your mutt. Did you rescue them from a shelter? Did they just show up on your
doorstep one day? Let us know! Your mutt will be featured on our website, in
Facebook and Instagram posts and you’ll be entered into our MUTT DAY giveaway!
SHARE this with friends and family that have a lovable mutt-muffin!
Winner will be announced Dec 2nd, 2017 on our Facebook page and by email.

This is CHLOE! She is a black lab/border collie mix. I found her at a rescue as a puppy. She loves dancing and doing tricks for treats, and she enjoys barking at all the stuff that moves outside!

This is ROCKY our Old English sheepdog, labrador, shiba inu mix. We got him off an ad in the newspaper, an accidental litter of 12 and they needed homes. When we went to see them he was the only pup off doing his own thing and he was the only pup without black fur. So I picked him up and the moment I held this little guy I fell in love 😍 He’s an 80 lb fur ball of kisses!
